Hackley Day Tours

May 25, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Muskegon County residents can tour the Hackley & Hume Historic Site FREE on Hackley Day.  In 1888, the Muskegon Board of Education declared May 25 Hackley Day to recognize the lumber baron for his generous donation which led to the construction of Hackley Public Library.  He and his partner Thomas Hume were two of the most well-known lumber barons in Muskegon. Along with Hackley Library, Hackley also donated funds for the statues in Hackley Park, the hospital which bore his name, and the Muskegon Museum of Art.

Admission for other guests is $7 for adults and teens, $5 for 65 and older, and free admission for 12 and younger.
