The Secrets of Bees Speaker Series: Beekeeping 101

Beekeeping 101 by Clarence Rudat of The MSU Institute of Agricultural Technology at Muskegon Community College.

Interested in the fascinating world of beekeeping? Learn about what it takes to get started in beekeeping from the right equipment to providing a healthy habitat, to honey extraction. Find out the many ways you can make a positive impact on this captivating creature even if you decide beekeeping is not for you.

Clarence Rudat is the program coordinator for the MSU Institute of Agriculture Technology in Muskegon where in partnership with Muskegon Community College, MSU offers certificated and degree programs in Landscape Management, Fruit and Vegetable Production, and Agriculture Operations. Rudat teaches a pollination and beekeeping class for MSU and is an avid beekeeper.  He also oversees the student managed Spartan-Jayhawk Apiary on the MCC campus.

First of 3 speaker series around bees.
